The object to successful advertising is to find a method of conveying your information to as many people as possible, while keeping the cost on the advertising low to begin with. This is the easiest way to generate traffic, and retain your profits. Google Adwords is a great method of getting both of these objectives done and making your site successful. It is very important to try and maintain a low click through cost when trying to target the appropriate customers. It is no secret that pay per click can really make your business swell with traffic and customers, by placing the highest bid on a keyword, or keywords you can get great page ranking when someone types your keyword into their browser for a search. If you have heard of Google Adwords you will know that it is not really a pay per click search engine, but a very powerful Google tool that can be used as an advertising template. It is said that the largest Internet based network for marketing is indeed Google. It is a global industry and is a very good way to get exposure on the Internet. If you are interested in the Google Adwords you can find it on just about every page that Google showcases, their ad can be found in a little rectangle by the organic search results that are free. The basic premise of the Google Adwords realm is quite simple, the member makes their own advertisement, and then has to bid on a keyword, this key word will then trigger the next step of the process. The next step is where the appearance of the ad can be showcased, to the viewers online. A members site consists of approximately 25 words or characters, this will include spaces so be mindful, it will also allow for a description segment of up to 70 words or characters, again spaces included in the total so you must watch what you are using as description. The great thing about this feature is your site will be posted within just a few minutes of you submitting it to Google. It could even become one of the sites that are sponsored, where they will sit on the right hand column of the search engine pages.Google’s Adwords runs a little differently than the standard pay per click programs, it is not entirely based on the bid you place on the keyword. It has other factors penciled into the equation, such as the click through rate, plus the cost per click. This in turn dictates what your page ranking will be in the end of the ratio. You will need a steady flow of traffic to your site prior to this method to be effective, so it is best to get a good game plan in motion.

Google AdWords has become a big buzz word worldwide due largely to various opportunities it offers to people. The benefits are really unbeatable for companies and business-minded people. Just about anyone can display their ads on Google and its wide advertising network. Google AdWords are not prohibitory also, they suit any type of budget, for start-up companies or big multinationals.

Google AdWords offers flexibility. It has various packages or options that are just right for your product, service or business. For one, it has a policy that you pay only if people clicks or accesses your ads, not when they are displayed only. That is really cost-efficient especially for start-ups. You can also set a budget and Google AdWords would not go overboard. Moreover, if your ads get higher click-through rates or CTR, you also get a chance to pay Google lower rates as it rewards or provides incentives to better-performing advertisements.

So how does Google Adwords work? It is really quite simple. You create your ads and choose appropriate keywords that are of course related to the products or services you offer or the nature of your business. Your ads would appear on Google when people or Internet users would type one of your keywords. Your ad would pop up besides related search results. This is called direct advertising because only the people interested on your product, service or business are targeted. Thus, the number of your customers or clients would multiply overtime.

The prospects and possibilities are really endless on Google AdWords or better yet the sky is not the limit. The world becomes really barrier-free when you advertise with Google AdWords because it is affiliated with the most popular search engine. Thus you can just imagine the number or volume of websites, blog sites, news engines among others that link up with the Google network. You have access to the same diversified network through your Google AdWords ads.

Google Adwords also provide adequate service support. Its website will guide you through every step of the way. It is user-friendly and easy to understand. It is really an online tutorial on how to get started in Google AdWords, from setting the keywords to understanding costs and payments involved. There are hundreds of tips that you can access too.

The Google AdWords has really grown in leaps and bounds from all over the world. Local, regional and global businesses benefiting from growing customer base, increasing sales, diversified markets and, overall enhanced presence or exposure in their desired market niches because Google AdWords ads are focused, direct and targeted. There are less misses and more hits for your ads. Your website’s traffic will surely get congested and brand recognition will greatly improve.

Before long, you will join the many who have written testimonials and good praises to Google AdWords for the unbeatable opportunities and prospects that it has made possible. You just have to browse the Internet for these success stories and testimonies to believe and be convinced that Google AdWords is the way to go.

First the good news: You can earn loads of money while sitting at home promoting high-quality products on Google AdWords and cash in from it. However, the bad news is that it is not as simple as it sounds and those who will tell you that you can do it without lifting your fingers are wrong! Yes, you can earn money writing Google AdWords ads and you will just need a small capital, but if you are extremely lazy and undecided and are not ready to work hard at least during the initial stages, you are doomed for failure. Saying that there are few people who would be lethargic if they find a good way to earn money, especially with a market condition such as that we are witnessing now. People are getting axed from their jobs left and right and there are not many new positions open. Market analysts are saying this may last for another 6 to 8 months. In such times, a simple method to make money while working at home with a computer is a Godsend. So, the question is how this moneymaking scheme works. Let us take a look at earning money through Google AdWords in detail. 5 years ago, a revolutionary moneymaking system was launched on the Internet. The name of this program was Google Cash and it guaranteed to help people earn money by harnessing the power of Google advertising program – AdWords. Now, we can understand the concept of making money using Google AdSense, in which case Google pays us a commission for the ads they publish on our websites. However, in case of Google AdWords, we have to pay money to have out ads published on www.google.com and Google content network sites. So, how can that help us make money? The way you can milk this AdWords cow is using its vast tentacles that reaches out to Internet users from all walks of life worldwide. First, you will need to sign up for Google AdWords program in order to become a Google advertiser and also join ClickBank to become a ClickBank affiliate. Now you need to visit the ClickBank site and choose a few products that you would like to promote. Be careful to select those products about which you know well. You will be given a personal affiliate URL to use to promote these products through articles or reviews. Then build your AdWords campaign with the themes of your products in mind. Your success depends on how well you structure your AdWords campaign to get a good CTR (Click-through rate) and how well written and interesting your articles are to the users. When a user notices your ad on AdWords, visits your site and click one of the links that take them to the main website of the product to buy something, ClickBank will pay you handsome commissions. Google Cash teaches you how to make both campaigns successful so that you need to pay less for your AdWords ads but can earn more from ClickBank for in this case, experience wins hands down. Google Cash owner, as a successful affiliate marketer and AdWords advertiser will show you the ropes that you will probably learn in next 10 years if you are trying to learn everything by yourself.

The news lately does not too look good for print media. I see articles (online) on an almost daily basis about how major newspapers and magazines are in serious financial jeopardy. The bad state of the economy notwithstanding, people are abandoning these traditional media outlets in droves. The internet has dramatically changed the way in which people inform themselves on current events and general news items. To make matters worse, a big part of the print media decline is greatly diminished advertising revenue.

Not only has the internet opened up a whole new world of news delivery for people the world over, it has also completely shaken up the traditional advertising model for small and large businesses alike.

The premise of traditional advertising is to get your ad in front of as many people as possible; the more eyeballs looking at your advertisement the better. Your chances of quality prospects responding to your ad will increase as the number of people who see it increases. The big problem is; the more people who will potentially see your ad, the more expensive the advertising becomes. ($3 million for a 30 second Super Bowl ad??? Holy smokes!)

This is what is commonly referred to as the shotgun approach. Blast a round of advertising at a group of people and hopefully you’ll hit a few decent prospects.

Actually, if you really think about it, this is an extremely inefficient means of advertising for the home based business owner – believe me, I know how monetarily wasteful traditional advertising can be. Like the old joke goes; half of all your advertising goes to waste – wouldn’t it be nice to know which half?

Maybe the shotgun approach makes sense for the large corporation with a massive advertising budget. But, for the small entrepreneur, there is a much better advertising alternative; it’s called Google Adwords.

Google is the undisputed king of internet search engines. So synonymous with web searching is Google that their name alone is now used as a verb. You need to look up information online? Just go and Google it! I don’t know about you but I don’t use any other search engine but Google.com.

Google has harnessed the power of their web presence and search reliability to develop the greatest advertising program of the modern age; it’s called Adwords. Once you really grasp the concept of Adwords, you will see that, for the small entrepreneur, it is the most efficient and cost effective means of advertising to be found anywhere.

The mechanics of how to implement an Adwords campaign and get the most out of it is way beyond the scope of this article. Matter of fact, entire, multi-chapter books have been written on this one topic alone. What I am encouraging you to do is explore the potential of using Adwords to grow your own business. There are tons of great articles and resources to be found that will help you to get a better understanding of this powerful medium. And, if need be, there are even Adwords consultants out there with plenty of experience who can help you get started.

Remember earlier how I referred to traditional forms of advertising as taking a shotgun approach? Well, using Google Adwords is like advertising with the precision of a highly skilled marksman. For now, suffice it to say that an advertisement can be placed on the world’s most popular search engine with such accuracy that only your best, most highly qualified prospects will ever see it. And, you’ll only be charged for showing your ad IF your prospect actually takes action and clicks on it.

Now I’m not here necessarily shilling for Google – they don’t need little, old me to sing their praises. What I am doing is looking out for my fellow home based business entrepreneur. I’ve had many different types of businesses over the years and have spent untold thousands upon thousands of dollars on print advertising – much of it a complete waste. I want to try and help you avoid traveling that same, wasteful path.

At this point I encourage you to learn more about the Google Adwords campaign. It will only cost you an investment of time as there are numerous resources and articles to be found online that provide some great information on the topic.

The bottom line is this – the internet is changing everything, including the ways in which business is conducted. You have to keep up or you will be left in your competition’s dust.

This is a listing of the techniques in using Google Adwords. It explains what each option is about, along with some tips and facts about what is involved in using any of them.

Google Search network

Ads can appear on the right hand side or highlighted on the top for keywords you have specified. This can be worth a fortune for the right position and or product on one of the millions of search terms used in a day. To advertise on the search page of the largest search engine in the world opens a world of income possibilities. With only this choice your ads will only show on search pages that are produced by Google.

Search Partners

Search Partners include such corporations as AOL, CompuServe, Netscape, Lycos and AT&T. Combine these with other Google properties such as blogs and a wide variety of participating websites, on practically every conceivable subject, and you get an amazing network of potential customers.

Both the search methods are thought to bring better quality clicks because the people who searched wanted to find what you have and what they were looking for. It is permission marketing at its finest.

Content network

Google also has a content network of its own working with entities like the New York Times, HGTV and The Food Network. The Google content network also includes the massive power of Gmail. It would be a mistake to miss the smaller entities such as people who provide content on small websites. There are millions of these small websites that cover practically every conceivable topic. With all these different opportunities, it can only mean more eyes seeing your ads. With all the options considered, Google covers over 80 % of the internet.

A lot of gurus will suggest that you leave this section out of initial attempts. Personally the content network has made me money, more money than the search functions. I use it a lot with click-per-signup where the end products is usually a free trial offer. The cost per click is generally less and the volume of clicks is generally more.

Placements you have targeted

If you aren’t comfortable with the keyword route, you have another choice. The placement function is relatively new. It offers a new way of advertising using Google. You can hand pick the sites that are most relevant to your ads. As long as the page is part of the Google content network then you can be one of the ads in the “Ads by Google” boxes. Check the page to see if it has any of these boxes. Also check if you think the page is acceptable for your ad. Some aren’t.

Google Tools that will help out your selections

Okay I can hear the groans, “picking keywords”, “picking websites”, sounds complicated. Really it isn’t that complicated but Google has thought about this. Under the Tools tab, they have a keyword tool that will suggest keywords based on either a topic or a URL that you supply. It not only suggests keywords but also groups them. That’s really quite handy for composing ads. The groups could be used as prime subjects for the ads. This keeps the ads and keywords closely related which is something that will help your quality score with Google. A high quality score lowers the bid needed for a specific position. The first three categories listed here are all dependent on keywords that you choose.

The other problem is picking websites for placements. Google also has a tool for that. The placement tool is only available from the ad group level under the Placement tab. When you choose the Add Placements menu option, Google will take you to the Placement tool. It will pick websites based on four different ways to get associated websites.

1.	Picking from an expandable list of topics that are closely related to the subject of your ad

2.	Specify a topic or multiple topics

3.	Specific URLs. You put in the URLs and Google looks for similar websites

4.	Demographically, things like gender, age or annual income.

It’s a Wrap!

Google also has the ability to put your ads in physical newspapers all around the world. They also do audio ads through a network of radio stations. By the time you read this, there may be even more options involving things like video and social networking like Facebook. The one think about Google is that they don’t sit on their hands after bringing new products online. The constant thing about working with Google is the changes that happen.
