The Internet is vast and there are billions of webpages out there all needing to be indexed by major search engines such as Yahoo, Google and MSN. Not all of these pages have yet been indexed. It takes time for search engines to crawl new pages. For instance, Google typically crawls certain websites less once it knows that these sites don’t regularly update their content.

Other reasons for pages not being indexed is that the owner of a site didn’t properly link certain pages. These ‘orphan’ pages which are not correctly linked from the rest of the main website may not be indexed by search engines. Another possibility could be that a website or domain is too new and hasn’t yet been indexed.

Unfortunately for you, some of these un-indexed webpages could have links pointing to your website. You are losing valuable inbound links because search engines such as Google don’t know these webpages exist. One of the key elements in ranking higher on Google is inbound links. The importance of such links cannot be stressed enough.

One way inbound links instead of reciprocal links work the best for Google. Google keeps changing it’s algorithm and in it’s last update tried to filter out sites with excessive reciprocal links. A reciprocal link is one in which you link to a website and that website links back to you. Google rightly or wrongly believes that reciprocal links may be manipulated to generate more inbound links. Emphasis is placed on one-way links. Sometimes you may arrange a link trade where Website A links to Website B. The owner of website B also owns Website C and uses Website C to link back to Website A. However, this attempt to trick Google may not work.

Most of us who work in or are familiar with the search engine optimization field know that inbound links are the key to ranking high on Google. Especially one-way links. The trick is to get these inbound links. Traditional methods of obtaining one-way links by leaving your website URL in a comment on blogs is dying as blogs increasingly use the “nofollow” tag in their A HREF statement. The “nofollow” tag tells search engines to not follow the link or count the link to another website.

One of the simplest ways to get links is to tell Google about third party sites which already link to you. Many of these webpages which link to your website haven’t yet been indexed by Google. These are wasted links as Google doesn’t know that they exist. The good news is that you have the ability to let Google know about these links.

1. Start by examining your web logs to check for referrers. Then save this file containing your referrers into a text document. Use a text editor of your choice to filter this referrer file and remove any hits from search engines.

2. Next filter out any referrer webpages which have already been indexed by Google. This second step can be time consuming and a tedious task so it can be skipped if you choose.

3. Use an html editor to make proper URLs from this list of referrers. Make hot-links of all the URLs.

4. Save the document as an html page and place this document on your website or blog. Be sure not to include more than 90 links per page. If you have more thank 90 referrer links then split the links into multiple pages, each page containing no more than 90 links.

5. Place hot links from your website, blog or other websites which you control to the webpage containing this list of referrers. If you’ve created more than one list of referrers then be sure to link to these additional pages as well. It’s a good idea to cross-link your multiple referrer pages.

6. The last step is to wait for Google’s bot to come and index your new referrer webpage. Google will follow the hot-links from your webpage to your list of referrer’s and index these webpages that have not yet been indexed. You’re directly helping your own website by telling Google of important inbound links. You’re also helping your referrers by linking their webpage. You will be leaking PR from your webpage. That’s why it’s important to create new referrer webpage containing a listing of your inbound links.

How Can I Make Sure That My Account Will Not Be Disabled?

Google Adsense Program Policies make no allowances for deceptive practices. The most important thing a publisher can do to ensure the integrity of their site is to be aware of what is happening on your site.

Google has made it abundantly clear not to click on your own ads or ask others to do so. But what about practices a publisher may not purposely carry out?

Make sure that ads associated with Google never appear in an unrequested pop-up. Don’t be talked into purchasing traffic for your site that may contain adware.

Respect the Google trademarks. Don’t use any Google trademarks or logos without their consent.

Don’t change the Adsense code. If you’re a pro at html, don’t assume you can add your own code. If you’re new to html, simply copy and paste the offered code. Don’t mess with it.

Provide a good environment for advertisers and a positive user experience. Don’t try to be deceptive in any way. Google’s rules may sound strict, but believe me, protecting the integrity of the Google Adsense Program is in your best interest as well as Google’s. After all, a positive, honest Google Adsense program means more money for all of us.

Useful Books About the Google Adsense Program For Users of All Stages

Do you need to buy a book to use Google Adsense? Not necessarily. Google’s support page has a wealth of information. But you might consider it if you want to read a personal account of an Adsense wizard such as Eric Giguere or say, if you want to learn more about HTML. ‘Who Let the Blogs Out: A Hyperconnected Peek at the World of Weblogs by Biz Stone has a lot of information on blogging as well as information about Google Adsense. The following is just a few books you can find at amazon.com on the subject:

Google Blogger is one of the easiest and most complete blogging solutions currently available on the Internet. Anyone can sign up and start blogging in a manner of minutes with the easy to navigate interface and tools it provides. But, there are a lot of things you probably don’t know about Blogger, hidden within the more advanced features of the site. These clever add-ons make it easier and more fun to post to your blog each day and can give you a slight edge over your fellow bloggers in drawing new traffic. No Bandwidth or Storage Limits In a world where storage has become incredibly cheap and video super sites are the norm, it makes sense that Blogger would not instill any limits on your website for storage. In addition though, Blogger makes it so you can receive as much traffic as you are capable of generating. No matter how much content you post and how many visitors you draw,
Blogger remains free for the life of your blog and that’s a great deal considering how many features are built in. Free Catch Support for Anti-Spam Spam is a major problem, especially for bloggers. If you talk to anyone who owns a private blog on their own server, or even those individuals with blogs on other services, you will learn that they constantly receive large quantities of spam. Blogger, by default, is built with spam detection and blocking device that can keep your blog from getting over run by unwanted spam comments. You can not only turn on the CAPTCHA software that requires a code to be entered whenever someone makes a comment; you can also require logins to Blogger to post comments or put commenting in a separate window so that spammers with automated software are tripped up. All of these options are available from Blogger’s settings pages.
Blog by Email and SMS By far one of the coolest additions to blogging in recent years, Blogger allows you to post blog messages from a cell phone or email inbox. From the settings menu of Blogger, you can set a specialized email address that will post anything you email to it directly to your blog. This allows you to make blog posts from a smart phone or via a work or school computer on which Blogger might be locked. SMS features allow similar functionality, posting remotely to your blog. Post in HTML you can get very creative with your posts if you desire and post directly in HTML. Most people choose to use the built in text editor in Blogger, but what few people realize is that they can change almost any feature on the page by using the HTML editor. This allows you to use different colors, change font sizes, insert tables, or use a template for posts from a third party website. The possibilities are endless. Themes and Skins When you sign up for Blogger, you are asked to select the visual depiction of your blog using a specific template. However, you can change this template any time you want by installing a new one.
Located across dozens of websites are templates that allow you to change the color, number of columns, location of posts, and any number of visual features on your blog.
Do a quick search on Google for “Blogger Templates” and you will find hundreds waiting to be used. Google Tool Integration Google operates countless services for webmasters and that includes some of the most useful ones for bloggers. AdSense integrates directly into Blogger through a simple to select Blogger option in the Template menu. Simply click on “Add new page element” and choose AdSense and you can add your AdSense account to your page. Other great tools offered by Google include Analytics, which allows you to track the visitors to your website, including where they came from, what keywords they searched for, what pages they viewed, and dozens of other statistic. Webmaster Tools is another essential tool that Google operates that allows you to track how your blog appears in the search engines.

The Google AdSense Blog Program is a fast and absolutely easy way for people with websites of all types and sizes to put up and display relevant Google ads on the content pages of their site and earn money.

This article will discuss the basics of the Google Adsense blog program plus show you how to find the top paying Adsense keywords for your blog. Because the Google AdSense ads relate to what your visitors came to your site to read about, or because the ads match up to the interests and characteristics of the kind of people your content attracts, you now have a way to improve your content pages and make some serious money with them.

Google AdSense is also a way for site owners to provide Google search capability to visitors and to earn even more money by putting Google ads on the search results pages. For more details. Google AdSense gives you the ability to earn advertising revenue from every single page on your website-with a minimal investment of your time So what kind of ads do you have to put up? That’s the good part-you don’t have to decide. Google does it for you. AdSense always delivers relevant ads that are precisely targeted-on a page-by-page basis-to the content that people find on your site. For example, if you have a page that tells the story of your pet fish, Google will send you ads for that site that are for pet stores, fish food, fish bowls, aquariums…you get the picture. If you decide you want to add a Google search box to your site, then AdSense will deliver relevant ads targeted to the Google search results pages that your visitors’ search request generated. If you’re into upgrades, Google is now offering “AdSense Premium”, which is CPC based and, for the time being, offers less flexibility in terms of ad sizes — only banners and skyscrapers are currently available.

You can apply using existing AdWords accounts, or you can request a new account. Applicants are usually notified within a day as to whether they’ve been accepted for the program. To know more about it .Here’s the thing you need to know: Google has no strict criteria for acceptance into the AdSense program, and Ad Sense doesn’t hit you with a minimum traffic requirement.
The only criteria they’re really sticky about is the standard “acceptable content” requirements, and that’s pretty standard almost anywhere. If you want to set up the Google Adsense program for your blog I highly recommend the website below where you will find some valuable information about the best tool to find the top paying best Adsense keywords.

Google Bolgger is one of the easiest and most complete blogging solutions currently available on the Internet.
No Bandwidth or Storage Limits in a world where storage has become incredibly cheap and video super sites are the norm; it makes sense that Blogger would not instill any limits on your website for storage. In addition though, Blogger makes it so you can receive as much traffic as you are capable of generating or go to www.writing-fast-cash.com. No matter how much content you post and how many visitors you draw Blogger remains free for the life of your blog and that’s a great deal considering how many features are built in.
Free Captcha Support for Anti-Spam Spam is a major problem, especially for bloggers.
Google Tool Integration Google operates countless services for webmasters and that includes some of the most useful ones for bloggers. integrates directly into Blogger through a simple to select Blogger option in the Template menu. Simply click on “Add new page element” and choose and you can add your account to your page. Other great tools offered by Google include Analytics, which allows you to track the visitors to your website, including where they came from, what keywords they searched for, what pages they viewed, and dozens of other statistic. Webmaster Tools is another essential tool that Google operates that allows you to track how your blog appears in the search engines or you can visit to www.ezines-success.com. Alongside all of these tools, Google will also automatically ping the major blog services such as Technorati and Ice Rocket with all new posts, allowing you to gain maximum exposure.
Enclosures and Videos Newly added to Blogger this year is the ability to add podcasts and videos to your page. You can now choose to upload videos and audio snippets directly to Blogger and include them in your posts. The videos will be branded with the Blogger logo and you can bypass use of YouTube altogether. This a great new feature that takes advantage of the unlimited bandwidth and account size that Blogger offers. Blogger is loaded with great features that make creating your blog quick and easy and Google is adding new features every day. Google is quickly converting a very good blog into a world class blogging platform.

1. The Quick solution

First the bad news, unfortunately there are no quick fixes in creating higher rankings in Google. You have to have a lot of patience in the search engine optimisation game. It will take months for your tiresome efforts to come to fruition. That’s why it’s important to get things right from the start and plan out your strategy.
2. Keyword Research

Keywords are the most important part of search engine optimisation. You must do your keyword research before starting your website if you can, as this will form the basis of all your search engine optimisation.

There is no point going for broad keywords for example “ website design” as there is too much competition for those keywords and you will find vey difficult if not impossible to reach the top spot in Google. You are much better using long tail niche keywords. They will have a smaller search volume, but it will be easier to obtain top position. People are more likely to find what they are looking for with long tail keywords, for example if someone needs a website they may type into Google “ web design” and visit a few websites. They may then discover they also need hosting and a domain name. They will then do another search for “website design hosting and domain name services” for example, and this may be your niche keyword or key phrase. How do you find keywords that people are searching for? Well a good free tool can be found at SeoBook.com or if you want something more professional you can use wordtracker an excellent service for finding niche keywords. You should try and get at least 10 keyword phrases.

Once you have found your keywords do a search with them on Google. First of all look at how many results there are. If it’s in its millions them maybe your keywords are not that good and would be too competitive. If you can find keywords with results at about 50,000 then you could be onto a winner.

You should also check out your competition. Click on the top result for your keyword in the SERPS (search engine results pages) and check out their pagerank. This will give you a rough idea of what you need to achieve to get top placement. Also you should check to see how many links they have pointing to their website as this will also give you a rough idea of how many links you will need to get to the top position. To do this in the search box type link: then the domain.com and you will get a list of websites that link to that domain but it’s a good idea to do this in the Yahoo search engine as they give a more extensive list of back links. Google will only show you a percentage of their links, usually of pagerank 3 or higher.

Remember these are only rough estimates as every website is different and less, more relevant links will achieve better results.
3. Optimising Meta title tag

Google sees the title tag as the most important and relevant part of the webpage it retrieves. This is one of the few things you have any control over in Google’s search results. The title tag is the underlined header for your result in the SERPS, it also appears at top of your browser window. Keep this descriptive and readable, but at the same time include your newly found niche keywords. Google will also highlight the keywords in your title that where included in the search query.
4. Optimising Meta description tag

The description tag is the description of the webpage, which resides under the title tag in the results. Again use your keywords in here, maybe some of the lesser ones you discovered. This is the only other part of the results you have any control over. Google will also highlight the keywords in here that match the search query. Again remember to keep it descriptive and readable.
5. Domain names

If you can, try and include your main keywords in your domain name, as Google will highlight them when they match the search query. This can give your ranking a little boost as this will show that your website is relevant to the search query.
6. The open directory project (DMOZ)

You should always submit your website to DMOZ as it can take an age to get listed in here and Google uses these results in its organic results sometimes. I recently wrote an article discussing this topic and some people commented on this and said that they haven’t submitted to DMOZ and their
7. The importance of Content

Content is very important. If you have ever changing fresh unique content on your website relating to your topic Google will love you for it and other websites will link to you. In return this will increase your rankings, but you should really be doing this anyway. A website with no changing content is a dead website. Your content should contain your keywords, but don’t spam your content with your keywords. Use them at the start and end of your webpage and sprinkle them in-between. Also use them in your header text and even bold a few as this shows Google that these words bear more importance.
8. Pagerank the green menace

Why are people so obsessed with that little green bar on the Google tool bar? Well I’m here to tell you that you can stop obsessing about it right now.

The thing about the pagerank bar is it can be at least 3 months out of date as Google only updates it in roughly a 3-month cycle. Only Google knows your true pagerank, which changes all the time. Google regularly spiders your website and scans for new content and links to show the most relevant content in its results. Therefore pagerank is pretty inaccurate.

The only advantage of that green bar that I can see is for exchanging links. You can get a rough idea what a websites ranking is and you can decide whether or not to exchange links.

The other thing people get confused about is that it’s called pagerank not siterank. What I have determined is that your website will get assigned a pagerank figure and then it will be distributed through your indexed pages, for example if your website gets a figure of 5 then your home page may get a pagerank of 3 and your other pages get a 2 or maybe a 1 and so on. If these other pages also have links to them this will increase their own individual pagerank.
9. Linking

Reciprocal links are easier to come by but in the early stages when you don’t have a good pagerank will be more difficult. Once your pagerank increases you can be more selective of the pagerank you exchange with.

One-way links are better than 2 way links but one-way links can be harder to obtain. Why should someone put your link on their website, what’s in it for them? You can do this by writing articles like this one, and submitting it to article websites, social media websites or on your own blog, but remember to include an author’s bio including some links to your website.

Don’t forget about the guys starting out when your green bar starts to increase. If they have a website with good quality content then you should consider linking with them. Remember we all need to start somewhere and page rank of 1 is tomorrow’s pagerank 5. Try and keep your link to relevant websites as Google likes this and you will receive quality traffic from these websites for years to come.

Also I have found a great little tool to check if your potential link partners are linking to bad neighbourhoods, which Google may penalise you for linking to. The address is:

http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/text-link-tool.htm

rankings are fine. This may be true but one thing you should remember is that lots of directory websites use DMOZ results, which in turn will get you more one-way links.
10. Blogging

Blogs are loved by Google as they have lots of text and are constantly getting updated, so start your own blog on your website. Include articles, stories and any thing that’s related to your website. If you give people something of interest they will come back for more and link to you.

That’s all for now, take care and good luck!

And remember you only get out of something what you put in to it.

The best thing about blogging is that there are no rules. You can write about anything you want. A self-publisher’s dream! There are some things you can do though to maximize your Google Adsense profits. Narrow your subject. Don’t just write about shopping. Write about shopping for antique dresser drawer pulls. Write every day. Have a blog at more than one site. If you develop a readership, you’re more likely to increase your profits.

Write about something you know or want to know or at the very least care about. If you try to write a great blog based on a “hot keyword” yet it’s something you could care less about, you’ll likely not stay with it long. Experiment and see what works for you. You can write based on your own opinion or something factual. You can review a product or service or a movie. Read other people’s blogs and notice how many reads they’re getting. Above all, for more details visit to www.google-atm-machine.com have fun. After all, it’s free and if you’re persistent you’ll see your Google Adsense dollars adding up.

Google Adsense: Learning About the Program and the Most Important Rule

How Does Google Adsense Program Work For Webmasters Wanting to Earn Income?

Advertisers pay Google when someone clicks on their ads which are placed on pages that contain text. For example, if you write content about lawn mowers, you will likely see ads from lawn mower manufacturers and/or retailers on that page. When someone clicks on those ads, the advertiser pays Google and Google pays you. Of course, for more details visit to www.adsense-income-exposed.com the advertiser is hoping the person that clicked on the add will actually purchase the lawn mower or whatever they’re offering. Most people can make their AdSense sites veritable cash cows! Free $97 Secret Adsense Book.

In fact, Google is very strict about the integrity of this process. You are forbidden to click on your own ads. If you do, your Adsense account will be terminated and you might never get it back. You are also prohibited from asking others to click on “your ads”. It makes sense. Why would advertisers want to pay just so your friends and family could click on your ads when no one is really interested in purchasing the lawn mower or subject of the ads?

The good news is that it’s not necessary to “cheat.” Google Adsense is so easy you’ll make more money just going by the rules. Have or write interesting content that will turn up in search engines
And you have “targeted” the right people to read those ads. Just think, somebody in Indiana buys a lawn mower and you get a commission!

What Not to Tell Others about the Google Adsense Program – The Most Important Rule

Sympathy only goes so far. Not only is it against the Google Adsense Program Policies but if you rely on friends and family members to click on your ads instead of diligently working the program, you’re cheating yourself – and the Google Adsense Program.

The “help me out” wail may work when your kid is selling outrageously expensive candles for the end of the year school party but it has no place in the Google Adsense Program.

Besides, if you’re asking people to click on your ads that mean you’re not optimizing your site for valid clicks as well as referrals. Use that same energy to polish your content and your site. When family and friends ask what you’ve been up to, you can proudly show them your hard work. When they see how excited you are, you’ll see your referral revenue go up.

In honor of my 25th ed. of Devil to Pay, I thought to share connected thoughts on how amazing in this cynical world that you (and I) can stay informed as opposed to viewing the thought of information at every nook and cranny one giant pain in our collective arse.

Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings. Check your inbox. It’s a Google Alert! Taking us to infinity and beyond. (Perhaps I’m messing up my hero references.) Point being Google does what the 6 o’clock News and our daily papers never could. And it’s changing our lives.

Google Alerts ensure a diversity of opinion, granting us some powerful abilities over our own news gathering abilities. There’s so much gosh darn news and opinion or newsy opinion from so many sources that it’s mindboggling! Google’s ubiquitous news gathering collects information, providing us all with our own personal newspaper. So, do you think I have stock in this company–or what?

Back in the day – whenever that was – we all got our current events fix from the same source. It was hard to have an opinion that differed from that of the mainstream media. The total sum of the information out there wasn’t available to the public.

The Denver events last week were publicized in sharp ways from every angle and made informed Americans see a way to a fresh start. There was, to be sure, nonstop coverage and ubiquitous commentary from all the networks, all the media, all the sites, all the time. Bloggers were offering opinions the second they got them. And accessible reports were going out every second.

That was far from the case just a short while ago.

During the 1968 Democratic National Convention, which was the apex of the hippie movement, a bloody riot arose between the protestors and the police. This unseemly ruckus was narrowly reported by the media reporting the events in Chicago and national coverage brought us only snippets of madness, but not more. The media didn’t say who started the riots; no one proffered a clue as to who instigated them from the get-go.

Judging only by what they were told, the news takers turned their backs on the protestors, saying it was their fault and claiming the police had a right.

When people see the coverage that came from Dem ‘68, they are head-shaking shocked. The protesters had every right to be there and were behaving relatively peacefully. We know the riots were begun by the police who were horribly insensitive and crossing a line that today would land them in jail. That point of view never got to the people. We did not have a way to find it.

In the era of Google News (a/k/a “The Eye of Sauron” or the fabulous frenzy of facts) we are in the know whenever we choose and we can choose our news whenever and from wherever. What Google is capable of doing is getting us the speed, breadth and option for dialogue. It has transformed the way we access and it makes us better “conversers” about what’s happening in our world and others’.

Google News and all those alerts you get may seem like a pain in the arse on occasion, but imagine the alternative.
